Dear Valued Partners,

The growing number of serious attacks on essential cyber networks including ransomware, cryptocurrency theft, data loss, and supply chain attacks are serious security threats that the world encounters. Various small to mid-sized companies are facing yet another business challenge of falling victim to a data breach or cyber-attack. With your company's financial security and future on the line, it's critical for businesses of all sizes to implement procedures to monitor suspicious network activity.

According to the new policy published on Partner Center, you are financially responsible for fraudulent purchases by your customers and/or customers' nonpayment of purchased services. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you put in place fraud prevention and detection risk mitigation controls. [Please visit Managing nonpayment, fraud, or misuse - Partner Center | Microsoft Docs for more information.]

To avoid fraudulent activity or misuse, or to address them, it's important to understand potential risks and to develop policies and practices that can reduce your exposure.

Here are tips on how to minimize risk with Azure Security System:

1.Turn on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – a process in which users are prompted during the sign-in process for an additional form of identification, to increase security while logging on your Azure Portal.

When you require a second form of authentication, you can prevent 99.99 percent of attacks on your account because this additional factor isn't something that's easy for an attacker to obtain or duplicate.

2.Utilize Cost Management + Billing tools to help analyze, manage, and optimize the costs of your workloads. Using the suite helps ensure that your organization is taking advantage of the benefits provided by the cloud.

You can simply set spending thresholds and budget alerts that will notify you when spending, based on usage or cost, reaches, or exceeds the amount defined in the alert condition of the budget.

3.Download and utilize Azure Advisor – a free personalized cloud consultant that helps you follow best practices to optimize your Azure deployments. It analyzes your resource configuration and usage telemetry and then recommends solutions that can help you improve:
